millions
of tiny rain drops
purifying the air
lush green tree leaves
we breathe
.
soft green grass
under our feet
this self sustaining earth
our mother
deserves more
.
her teardrops
falling
like stars
evermore
songs of samsara
millions
of tiny rain drops
purifying the air
lush green tree leaves
we breathe
.
soft green grass
under our feet
this self sustaining earth
our mother
deserves more
.
her teardrops
falling
like stars
evermore
I’ll comment on this since it’s right beneath the letter I just wrote. This poem does so well with brevity, one of your strengths. It doesn’t say much, really, because it is merely an observation, and acknowledgement of something you notice and have placed in context with your understanding of nature. It need not do more. It is a snapshot of what you have observed and wish to share. I like it! I also like writing short stuff, but as I say I’ve been too low-energy to do much of anything for a spell now. I do occasionally write a sentence I wish to expand on, though I never seem to get back to it. But hopefully I can get back to doing the poetry I so enjoy. Peter
Thanks Peter ! Yes…. I feel more compelled to make a strong statement about something in the least amount of words…. POW !
