Liking that your poem makes me notice that within the word pieces, there’s pie (or another word for tart); sweet and bittersweet work

I got this from a website to further explain:

The Origins and Historical Context of the Term

The word “tart” has roots dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, originally used in England as a slang term for a woman of loose morals or someone perceived to be sexually provocative. Historically, it was a derogatory term aimed at women who defied societal expectations of modesty and virtue. Over time, the term became associated with women who displayed flirtatious or provocative behavior, often with a negative connotation.

In the past, calling someone a tart was essentially an insult, implying that the person was promiscuous or untrustworthy. It was also used to criticize women who dressed in a revealing manner or who were perceived as overly flirtatious. The term reflects societal attitudes towards gender roles and morality prevalent during those times.
