sitting on the edge
the woman must always sit
obey like a dog
the man must decide
because his anatomy juts
the woman passive
so here i sit
my heart always in limbo
waiting for his love

Also…. I think poetry is the perfect medium for those with a high capacity in abstract reasoning…is also helps if those that like & read poetry have this capacity as well…..
Of course poetry is not limited in variance…. like art ( painting) has various styles……and we all gravitate to what appeals to our intellect….LikeLike

Also ….soooooooo many times when I’m reading something, I think to myself : How would they narrow it down in one sentence what they are trying to explain in VOLUMES !!!!!!!!!! It really irritates me how people go on & on….. haha

Sandy, I think you write so much nice poetry, even though I’m generally not a fan of your feeling cheated in love offerings which sometimes arise as a theme. But this one, which is kind of in that league, is once more really nice. Seems like it may have been something written by a young woman as she is learning to find her way through the maze of all of love’s manifestations. It is a good poem in my estimation. Well I’m sure it relates to lots of people ( being cheated in love)
When I first started this blog I wanted to name it SONGS OF SAMSARA….but there was a record album with that title when I Googled it…. So I just changed the S to a Z
My idea was to create a blog of the trials & tribulations of living in the desire realm….Samsara….
Also to chronicle my experiences…
I find that poetry expresses my deepest feelings without having to write some long drawn out story…. I like it condensed… and poetry is the art form that was made for someone as myself that really hates to talk much in a conventional way…………
