it’s the midnight hour

and i feel hot

the fireplace is roaring

but I’m not

bored to tears

nothing excites me

wish I was tired

but sleep dispites me

I don’t know what

to do with myself

surrounded by walls

inside this house

while my cat goes outside

to find a mouse
